Default War time rationing was good for the environment?

The Imperial War Museum in London is doing an exhibition regarding how we managed to feed ourselves during the war. People who were malnourished were able to enjoy a proper diet for the first time and we were fitter. We didnt waste much either so little had to be disposed of. Perhaps we should do it again?

Waste not Want not

We still have much to learn

I'd like to see that get implemented! Its a good idea though and you can see the movement for home grown produce with the big waiting list for allotments. I know I am looking forward to planting some veg once it stops snowing.

I think this sort of measure is too drastic! There are other ways to feed the malnourished and to get fit! But the concept is interesting...
