There are many reasons to use ecological cleaning products instead of your usual cleaning fluids. Putting the environmental benefits aside for one moment, research has shown that children exposed to non ecological cleaning products have a 400 percent higher chance of developing asthma. Not only that but it is widely recognised that there are in excess of one hundred chemicals found in cleaning products around the home which have been linked to the following:
Depressions
Skin problems
Respiratory problems
Sore joint
Migraines and head aches
Cancer (housewives have a higher risk of cancer than men)
Birth defects
Tiredness
If you look at the cleaning products you have in your home you will no doubt find that you have many sprays and bottles of the stuff for a wide range of cleaning duties around the home. Have you ever stopped to think what is in that spray or why is it so good? How does it cut through that grease? Cleaning agents and solutions are cocktails of various toxic chemicals which all act together to give the functionality to degrease, remove stains and kill bacteria etc.

Many laundry cleaning products are derivatives if phosphates which is one of the largest polluters in the world’s oceans.
While cleaning products no doubt make our homes look clean and make the job of cleaning them easier there is a much bigger issue which needs addressing.
