Green Building or Sustainable construction, as it is better known, is growing largely throughout the UK  and  more people are preferring to use Eco friendly or reclaimed materials .

The buildings that we build today will be here long after we have gone and the impact on the environment will be passed fto our children. these are factors that need to be considered when researching the type of materials that are used within the building process.  Paints, plaster, insulation are some of the many ways that we can use green building materials…

Local shops B&Q, Wickes, Homebase all have started to stock supplies of eco friendly materials like paints and wood. Reclemation yards will also be a good place to start to source reclaimed timbers. Whether you are looking to do small scale DIY projects around your house or you are a builder looking to construct a whole housing development we all have  a responsibility to ensure that the materials we used are sustainably souced with minimal environmental impacts.
