There has been a lot of debate on the best ways for parents to teach children about the environment. One of the widely accepted methods to teach your children to be green is to take them into the outdoors and give them first hand exposure of the natural world. This allows young children to make that connection with the environment at a young age.
Another good technique is to be their environmental role model by showing enthusiasm and respect for the natural environment and green living. Children will grow up as if this is the norm. The green kids are those who live the greener system of living. These green kids also encourage the use of greener applications and appliances. The kids are basically taught by their parents or from the school of how to adopt the green services and greener habits. The kids like to adopt the green habits like travelling by bi-cycles, littering and spitting in proper places, making the proper use of dustbins. They are also taught not to throw the wastes and used items in open places. These kids promote the planting up and growing of trees and plants. The kids usually plant siblings and plants during the environment day in order to promote the reason of going green and protecting the earth from all sorts of pollution.
The green kids also conduct seminars and programmes giving a brief knowledge about the hazards of all sorts of pollution and adopting the recycling processes to protect and preserve the natural resources and other products and items. They also promote the seminars against the side effects of deforestation which can affect the humans as well as human beings. The kids try to teach the people that the deforestation can cause landslides and effect the life of wild animals and these wild animals can intrude the places and localities of human beings. Thus the wild animals can also create destruction of the vegetations and the crops planted by the human beings. These kids also teach the methods of conservation of natural energies like the rain water, wind and sun light. They also promote the advantages of using the green vehicles which has the least amount of carbon emission and helps in controlling the air pollution.
